    new to weight training

hi everyone this is my first question and i guess everyone has felt the same as me at some point.
having reached a 16 stone fat bastard i decided it was time to sort myself out. i am now down to just over 13 stone but i want some good shape.
i train 6 days a week with a combo of cardio and weights but am getting frustrated at the lack of defenition i am achieving.
i am willing to try anything to get ripped because a lack of hard work is certainly not the problem.
i have tried no-xplode and nano vapour but i think my problem is impatience.
is there a short cut to make all my hard work show results quicker. i have a high protein low fat diet and used whey products!!
where am i going wrong, suggestions please!! steroids or not? i am training for a triathlon so a good strong body is truly required.
    cheers anyone that can help

First off, you don't need steroids, and i would suggest waiting at least a few years before considering them if you are just starting training

    age?
    height?

i would like to see your diet in detail you we can help you tweek it to your goals

i dont think being ripped will change your results in a triathlon bro! hows your diet looking? have you worked out your BMR (basal metabolic rate) how long have you been training for how old are you whats your diet like whats you body fat %? and my final point there is no quick fix for hard work to get ripped diet and cardio is the only AAS are only a small piece of a much much larger puzzle!

im 33 5ft 10 and ive been training for approx 6 months so i am happy with the weight loss but not the shape. my bmi is now 26.7 although i think personally that doesnt really tell the whole story as im naturally pretty stocky. i just did an online bnr calculator and it says 1879.25. i have no idea what this means though
i do realise that being ripped wont help my triathlon but it will be nice to look the part for the finishing line photo haha.
i thought my diet was not too bad what kinda things should i cut and what should i be including more of. i didnt really want to go down the steroid route unless a last resort,
thanks guys i really appreciate any help

Bmi is a LOAD of shit imo i wouldn't judge anything on that

i agree with phate you need to post your diet up, dont be affraid to do so, if it needs ripping it apart we will rip it apart to help you not mock you, if you post your diet up do so in the diet section and post a link in here or just post in here

the little changes guys on here could suggest could make a Huge difference

Three things I have always done to rip (dumb, but works for me):
    1) 30 second rests between weight sets. If you don't have the muscle stamina for the same muscle group, go active rest with opposing muscle groups.
    2) you look like a tool, but grab 5lb cardio weights and do variations on speed jumping jacks. Breakthem up into whatever sets u need, but reach a number. I always went for 1000. Lame but effective
    3) find an active hobby. Cardio sucks. Sports and activities are fun

Ok basically my diet is as follows.

For breakfast I would eat breakfast bar and fruit
lunch depending on work would be wholemeal sarnies with more fruit and mostly a protein shake with water not milk
evening meal would generally consist of veg potato and chicken or a pasta or rice dish for the carbs with any meat I have in the fridge.
I generally train cardio or weights in the evening followed by another a whey protein.

This is how I lost all the weight with some hard training but this is obviously not enough to help me rip up so basically should I be eating more often or including different stuff or a combination of both.
Thanks guys I really do appreciate this help

Also I've heard sus is good for joints so this is steering me towards a cycle of that but I am pretty nervous about after effects side effects and what to expect results and retention wise. Suggestions please
