Lightbulb Vatican Library, March 2010 the 20th (alone...)

    PLEASE NOTE:

Whatever i write in this thread is for entertainment purposes only.

    __________________________________________________ _________________________________

Perhaps many of you are unaware that The Vatican Library is closed to the public access since July 2007, due to structural problems.

I had once a chance to visit that place going also in the forbidden area.
Unfortunately, I was too young to take that occasion on my advantage completely and a part some interesting and unsaid news I came accross, I did not know what to search.

Now, luck has giving me a second chance but probably the last because the Cardinal Legate (legatus a latere) who will help me accessing is very old...

However, I know now what to look for to confirm many studies I have "perpetrated" on my own during these years.

So, besides sharing this news with those who know what I am talking about, I wanted to offer you a chance to know things which, otherwise, you will never know or come accross in your life.
If you want to know something, just ask me and I will be pleased to read for you.

Let's name it as a gift for the forum who helped me a lot so far.

Anything related to historical events written in ancient languages like Coptic Egyptian, Armamaic, The Phrygian language, Old Akkadian, The Eteocretan, Lepontic, and many others... I do not remember them all since there are thousands of texts and books to look for.
Furthermore, documents which make the theory of the evolution by C.R.D., just a romance!
The forbidden area is a section of the library, which cannot be accessed by the library itself but still belongs to it, where there are scripts, original texts, documents and books to give further evidence of a few hidden truth about facts known by the common people; an example is the theory of the evolution above written.

For you information, there is no document, text, book, or anything written by anyone in that period of time which asserts the existance of a man called Jesus of Nazareth; except for, a few decades later, a Jewish historian named Josephus. So, under these circumstances, your question is not based on happened facts but just belief since only one person cannot be taken into account, IMO.

    I look for facts only.

I was expecting this request for you even though it is going to be hard indeed because I will access it from The Vatican City and unless you are the Pope or a Cardinal, everyone is rummaged in order to access the buildings.

Anyway, I will carry a very small one just in case I succeed.

It sounds like you live an exciting life. I read that the oldest piece of literature in the library is from the eighth century. I'm sure that will be an interesting trip.

But, yah, that would be great.

BJJ, if I come to Italy, can you sneak me into the Vatican Library?

If you come before he dies, maybe.
Actually, I should ask him about that.
In any case, be aware I am going to wear a Roman cassock, lol. It will be like a movie...

I just hope some Swiss Guards will not get suspicious to see a "muscled" priest...

...but the Cardinal said there will be no problem, so I follow him.

Ask to see the manuscript that explains why Catholic priests have to sexually assault, molest and rape children.

Given that a close relative of mine finally hung himself after 20 years of depression after having been sexually assaulted by a Catholic priest, I think I should be first in line to read it.

Make a photocopy of it too.

    I hope you are sarcastic.

I was raped when I was a child, inside a church but not by a priest!
It does not make any difference who is the rapist, does it?
Priests are first of all only human beings, start to see them the way I do.

I am terribly sorry for your friend.

I call it myself "forbidden area" but in reality it does not have a name because it does not exist for the common people. It is a section of the building which is not even close to the library itself where several documents and scripts are kept secretly.
Even, some of them are just in copy while the original ones are kept in other locations which are not known even by the Cardinals.

Surely not me can enter it since it is unknown to the common people, that is why I am hapy indeed that for the second time in my life I have this opportunity.

I will check out for you what requested.

    Why?

Would you like to make a second happening like the one for Ancient Library of Alexandria?
You can find since 2002, if I recall correctly, a new one made in remembrance of that: The Bibliotheca Alexandrina.
Would you like to burn that down too?

General rule of thumb: If it belongs to the Catholic Church, BURN IT.

The Catholic Church is a pack of child-raping scumbags. Just within the past week it's been shown that THE POPE HIMSELF was involved in a child-rape cover-up before he became Pope.
    Moving on...

By the way, how are you gonna read and understand text that's written in an ancient dialect of an ancient language?

Has the text been translated to modern-day English, and if so, by who? Do you trust the competence of the translator?

I'm very critical of translations because I do some translation work myself, and I'm often left with the job of "correcting" dodgy translations made by others. By "correcting" I mean rip up what they wrote and start from scratch.

Also, different languages are spoken by different cultures. Different cultures say different things, and it isn't always possible to directly translate from one language to another. The situation gets worse and worse if the text has been translated more than once (e.g. from Thai to Portuguese to Chinese).

If you have a Thai friend who speaks really good English, ask him to translate the meaning of "geng jai" into English. I bet you he'll scratch his head and have to sit down and think about it for a long time. Even if he's extremely proficient in both languages, he might have a lot of trouble translating some terms.

damn, alot of ignorance in this thread.

I don't care if you're religious or not. It's not about that.

There is a TON of historical information in that library.

And if you can't understand the importance of preserving important historical texts,

Then I feel sorry for you.

EDIT: And it was the pope's brother, Georg Ratzinger, who is helping in an investigation, but was not himself actually accused of any wrong doing.

What type of documents, writings, scripts, texts, books would you like to burn exactly?

Perhaps the ones, which I already read, that show how the Darwin's theory is fallacious and created to indoctrinate.
Perhaps you want to burn the phots of several human skeletons with the same size and proportions of ours but with an age of 3 millions years old...
Or maybe, you want to burn their texts dating evidences?

    Agree with D7M.

No I'm talking about the Pope himself. Here's the latest news:

    http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/arti...e-priests.html

    http://www.getreligion.org/?p=28934

You can't say that the Catholic Church just had "a few bad apples" that made other priests look bad, there were cover-up's for decades. The bishops, cardinals and the Pope himself knew that priests were raping children and instead of firing these priests, they covered it up and moved them to a new area where nobody knew them. And guess what, some of these priests re-offended in their new home. Right now in the news, there's that German child-rapist priest who was moved to another area and subsequently raped more children.

OK so if they have some cool sh*t that you don't wanna burn then at least steal it. The Catholic Church has no rights to property ownership, no rights to anything at all. They forfeited all their human rights when they decided it was OK to rape children.

So let me change my slogan: Steal all their shi*t and then burn it to the ground!

shame, the second people read the title they instantly assumed religion.

Ok, if you want to continue this, PM me.

But religious topics always seem to get out of hand on here, so I'll just stop it here.
