I do legs once per week. It's a lot to do in one day but I think I do a good job of getting everything in. The following program has been with me for years now, while the rest of my training has vastly evolved. Mainly because I've been training for ice hockey for 10 years now but have only pursued bodybuilding for four of them (the first two of which were garbage).
This week:
- 5 minute cardio warm-up
- 10 minute stretching warm-up
- SLDL: 4 sets. 185x16, 225x12, 275x10, 315x6
- BB Squat: 4 sets. 225x12, 315x10, 365x8, 415x4
- Angled Leg Press: 3 sets slow/controlled. 450x12, 650x8, 740x6
- Walking DB Lunges 3 sets. 50lb. DBs x 24 steps
- Adductor/Abductor Machines 3 sets each. Max weight x 20, 16, 16
I don't do leg extensions of leg curls anymore because I feel them in my knees more than I'd like to.
Too much? Not enough? Rep/Weight range variation?
Thanks guys.
