Toning muscle, best way to do it?

Theres always been the theory floating around that doing more reps on a lower weight is considered toning and will make your muscles pop out more an more defined but recently ive seen ppl say thats total bull. So is the best way to go to just keep lifting hard an building muscle and also going hard on cardio/diet?

The latter of those two statements would be correct. "Toning" has everything to do with diet/cardio and very little to do with rep range.

Make your muscles bigger, drop bodyfat = toned.

I hate it when people say i want to be more toned. That has to be the worst used term in fitness / bodybuilding.

I say 'so u want to loose weight' they say '' oh no!! i just want to...... you know look a bit more toned''

Like already stated if you want to look more 'Toned' (cant belive im writing this) you simply need more muscle and less fat or just less fat of corse.
