i read that you can eat gummy bears pwo....which iv never done b4 ...but i know people that do it....i stick to protien shakes and chicken breast
You want sugars post workout, cause you (should have) just drained your body of all sorts of things you need and now you need to recover asap. If you're concerned about burning fat you still want the carbs because it should help fight the catabolic state your body is in. Try fructose (Fruit) it's not the BEST choice for a PWO carb, but it is a sugar and is lower on the glycemic index. I believe milk is low on the GI too so if you'r slammin some milk with your shake you should be fine. But yeah I wouldn't go housing a bag of gummi bears after your workout because it will still spike your insulin a great deal which is a no go if your trying to shed some fat. I'm no EXPERT on dieting though, anyone correct me where I might have made a mistake.
