    Safe to train twice a week?

    I'm currently training each musclegroup once per week. I have heard from several people that there are a few muscle groups which can safely be trained twice a week due to their ability to recover more quickly than other groups. I was told these include:

    Traps
    Biceps
    Calves
    Abs

    When I say train safely, I mean train without the concern of overtraining. Does anybody agree with this? Does anybody disagree? Please provide evidence/examples in either case, thank you!

    i have done this 2 body parts a week i belive its not over training but i don';t do it for long at all, maybe 2 weeks, just to change things up

    I train my muscles twice a week. You just have to get a good split. Lower the volume. I have done these two differnt splits in the last year.
    Program 1
    Mon/ chest, tries, shoulders
    Tue/ legs
    Wens/Bies, back, forearms
    Thurs/ OFF
    Fri/ chest, tries, shoulders
    Sat/ Legs
    Sun/ Bies, back, forearms
    ______________________________________________
    Program 2
    Day 1 chest and tries
    day2 back and bies
    Day 3 shoulders and legs
    day 4 OFF
    Repeat day 1 through 3 then take 2 days off. Then start over again.

    I am 29 and am not working. So I get good rest, eat every 2 hours and have lots of energy. I am also ON cycle right now so I tend to push a lil more. If I get tired I take a day or two off. In the work out stickys it said on a few of them that a week between muscles is just too long. HST and DC training you work out 3 times a week. But your doing low volume. I feel great doing both of these splits, sometimes I skip some sets and sometimes I add some. All on how I feel.

    Whatever works for you is fine, I change my routines up frequently now and it seems to help alot. I do the same muscle more than once a week occasionally.
