I was reading a post the other day claiming when mice were subjected to artificial sweeteners they began to develop holes in their brain, not to good at all.

You're going to get answers that are both ends of the spectrum - some will tell you it's fine, others will tell you it's treated like sugar, and others will tell you you'll grow 3 heads and look like you just walked out of a nuclear waste dump site.

If you're concerned about it, err on the side of caution and use them sparingly.

The only thing I drink is sugar free kool aid with so much aspertaine crammed in there its got a nice chalky taste. I feel fine and I'm losing weight but I may have holes in my brain. Hmm that could explain a lot.

If i wasn't cutting I would just use the sugar. Just don't go overboard. Contrary to popular belief Table sugar glycymic index Is low in comparison to lots of other things (white bread, rice, pasta ect)

I enjoy diet sodas. I'm sure artificial sweeteners aren't the best for you, but if they really do raise cortisol levels that would be a good reason to stay away from them.
