blend of proteins to take as a meal during the day??

hey guys, i watced Milos Circevs secerets of the pros "nutrition" videos, and they were excellent. In the videos, he broke down a diet consisting of 8 meals throught out the day, two of which where protein shakes, but not ordinary whey protein, but rather he said find a protein BLEND, that consisits of several kinds of proteins, each with different absorption rates. I went to the supplmenet store and i purchased HDT Pro Blend 55. Pro Blend 55 is the obvious choice for a superior protein blend supplement. Pro Blend 55 blends Micro Ultra Filtered Whey Protein concentrate, Egg Albumen (egg whites), Calcium Caseinate, Micro Ultra Filtered Whey Protein Isolate, Ion Exchanged Whey Protein Isolate and Hydrolyzed Whey Protein Isolate. This formula packs 55 grams of 6 different muscle building proteins without adding additional fat.

Based on Milo's suggestion, supplementing this in for two meals mid morning and say at night, would you think it is a good meal??

Sure has enough protein, not many carbs, 7g i beleive, and not much fat, so it would be ideal for a nighttime shake as well, maybe even replace my casein shake at night with this, since it has casein in it? what do you guys think????

Other than PWO, if you MUST supplement any meal with a shake, something like this is your best bet. I still think Casein is better before bed, but this is a much better choice than whey for sure.

However, at the end of the day, whole/real foods will always be the best choice, so if you can avoid supplementing with shakes, DO IT!

ya, i eat fish, chicken, beek, sweet potatos, all that food, just figured that based on what milos suggested, to take a blended protein, seemed like a good idea. I also do take a whey/waximaise shake after the gym as well. i am thinking the pro blend shakes is great cause it has 5 different proteins, all with different absorption rates, so i wil be hitting all aspects of protein release you know?? any one elsE???

yeah, it's much better than straight whey if you must substitute for a whole meal. Add an energy source. Like, 1/2 cup of oats or a tbspn. of oil though.

No, I'm referring to extra virgin olive, macadamia nut, flax (some disagree), walnut, grapeseed, Udo's/Barlean's blended, and other oils. Essentially, just a source of 15-20g healthy fat. You could also use nuts, nut butters, avocado, chia seeds - just fat. I take fish oil capsules throughout the day as well.
