    Question tricep question

just wanting to get some opinons out there. i really like to hit my triceps with free weights (skullies, closegrip, kickbacks, db ext. etc.) but elbow pain is getting in the way. seems to go away if lower the weight, but i am afraid of no growth stimulation from light weight. anyone have any other ideas on this.
i know i can use cables, but hung up on bb's and db's for my triceps. thankful for any and all replies.

    don't work through pain

in the past, i would do a few light sets of tricep pulldowns, and noticed that the pain went away after i was "warmed up"...but ideally, you should let the tendon heal before putting any more pressure on it

    Agreed...

I like a few light sets of close grip, before piling the weight on. Your best bet is to get rid of the skullcrushers, they are murder on your elbows. I quit doing them and the pain has diminished substantially.

thanks, thinking about taking week off from triceps. then returning with light weight cables before hitting it full force. harsh reality is i may just have to quit skullies and find another alternative.
