    Please critique my diet

    My goal is lean bulk...I'm currently 5'10" @ 185 and ~11% bf

My first meal sucks because I have no appetite first thing in the morning, but i'm working on improving that slowly but surely...

7:00am: 2 eggs, 2 slices whole wheat bread, 1 scoop protein (myofusion) in 8oz fat free milk, 1 multi (opti-men), 1 Fish oil

10:30am: 8-10 oz chicken breast, sweet potato or brown rice

2:00pm: 8-10 oz chicken breast (or salmon), sweet potato or brown rice, Multi (Opti-Men)

5:00pm: Lean ground beef, whole grain pasta, homemade pasta sauce (tomato, garlic, onion, salt-free spices), fat free cheese

8:00pm: 8 oz Salmon (or chicken breast depending on 2pm choice), vegetables (usually asparagus or broccoli), Multi (opti-men)

10:00pm: 2 tbsp natty pb, 2 scoops casein (ON) in 16 oz fat free milk

    Thanks in advance

Looks all gd 2 me. I would defo go for 10 oz with your protein sources, especially the salmon.

This diet is very similar to mine, my carb sources are only sweet potatoes and milk at the moment, proteins come from eggs in the morning, chicken 3 x a day and beef on the nights.

If i were you i would make sure to throw one cheat / refeed meal in per week, not only will it make u feel good but ur trying to gain so u cn b a bit more relaxed.

How much sweet potatoe and carbs r u eating? Im aiming to hit 45g carbs from 8 oz of seet potato 3 times a day however i am cutting ATM.

    Thanks baseline

I am eating around 8-10 oz's at a time (of the sweet potato). I want to eventually add some egg whites in the morning also.

This is for a non workout day btw...on workout days, I would add 1 scoop whey/8 oz water/half cup oats immediately following my workout.

Well yeh it all looks good. U obviously know how to eat by looking at you Avi..

If i were u i would just go with what you think and take it from there. Weigh yourself 2 x per week and amend cals to gain the weight. I would only aim to gain 1 - 2 lbs a month if you are looking to stay fairly lean. Clean weight is good weight even if it is only 1 lb a month, thats 12 lb a yr and you get to keep looking good all year without balooning up.

I always prefer to eat as many whole eggs as i can rather thAn a split with whites, 6-8 whole eggs for breakfats, just take the extra fats into acount when you ballance fats in other meals.

Thats just my opinion, i dont like wasting the other half of the egg, and it makes it taste much better lol

Would like to see macros, but the foods are all good choices, looks nice and clean. For meal 1 though, I would switch up the bread for 1 cup of oats. Just my .02

Thanks man...honestly, that pic was taken when i was still eating whatever i wanted. I've started paying more attention to my diet recently (the past month or so) in preparation for my first cycle this summer. I still look more or less the same though.

Yeah, same here...i don't like the taste of egg whites alone.

thanks gb....will try to do that. Do you add anything to the oats for flavor?

I usually grind them in a coffee grinder and toss them in with my shake, can't stand the cardboard taste.

Oats r one of the thing i eat wen i feel like im being realy strict, as i think they r not too great. Dont get me wronge i wud eat shit if i knew it wud get me ripped LOL

thats the good thing about gaining weight, even when ur trying to keep it lean u dont need to be as super strict and think too much about cqrv GI's n stuff.

I say eat as clean as u can but dont force urself 2 eat stuff u dont like just cuz u know its the best choice if u think it tastes like cardboard LOL

Per 1/2 cup of oats microwaved with 1 cup of water for 1.5 minutes, I add 3 packets of splenda, a bit of salt, plenty of cinnamon and about 2 tbsp. of fat free 1/2 and 1/2. That's my little secret - makes them super creamy. I actually love them and look forward to eating them every morning!

For my PWO shake I just throw them in raw and shake them up. I do add another packet of splenda just to sweeten it up a bit. That cardboard taste is undetectable due to the whey powder. I didn't think i'd like it until I tried it - I actually enjoy chewing them up now! But grinding them up first is obviously fine as well - whatever works as long as you're eating them!

My favorite weight gainer is 2 cups milk, 2 scoops vanilla (or chocolate peanut butter) myofusion, 2 tbsp natty pb, and 1 cup ground oats. Tastes awesome. Maybe i'll start drinking those again.

I wish I had something to add here; i've never been able to bulk yet, so I don't. =(

I am starting my first bulk though in May, so I'll give this a shot. I don't have Myofusion but use ON Whey/Casein - should be pretty comparable.

^^^ Yeah, I switch between ON and myofusion usually.

I replaced the bread with oats this morning....forced it down, wasn't too bad
