    Need Help

I have been on HRT for 3 years. I was laid off my job and am no longer with insurance and the prospects are not so good for me to get a full time job with benefits now. I should be ok, I am getting freelance work, and well it's enough to get by, but I need some real belt tightening financially.I am going to discontinue my HRT for the time being, and am wondering the best way to come off ?

I am currently using 1.25 ml of text cyp a week, 17.5 cc of HCG daily and 1/4 a pill of Arimadex 2x a week.

I can afford to stay on the HCG for a month or 2 if I need to help me get over the transition ? anyway I could really use some advice.

Paying out of pocket is not too expensive. If you are without insurance you can buy Test cyp at Sam's club pharmacy with a business membership for $42. That's atleast 4 months worth for you. Make sure to tell them they need to run it through with them being your insurer.

HCG is very cheap as Hucog offshore.

Arimidex is not too expensive as a liquid and easier to dose.

Thanks for the advice, but the mortgage, car payment, feeding my kids, and the light bills ect. are more pressing needs.

I would like to stay on HRT but it is NOT an option at this time.

If you have options to stay on and can swing it, then I would (as you are obviously shutdown).

However, if you want to come off, my doctor gave me this protocol to run (I was considering coming off at one point).

HCG @ 500iu EOD for 4 weeks. Continue to dose Arimidex the same. After HCG, run some nolva and clomid. Nolva 40mg a day for 1 week, then 20mg a day for 3 weeks. Clomid 100mg a day for 1 week and 50mg a day for 3 weeks.

However, you may be completely shutdown, in which case, this will not do you any good.

I think once you come off for a while you'll find you have the 50 to 100 bucks to spend every few months.

I hope that's a misprint, becaue his leydig cells will be desensitized at that type of dose.

Glen, so sorry to hear about the financial troubles.

IMPO, I think you need to find away to keep your HRT alive. I know $40 or $50 is tough thing right now, but the medication is vitally important with keeping your focus, confidence, rationale, etc., all of which are key components with pulling yourself out of this predicament.

I'm sure you are stressed and worried about making the right choices for your family. These types of times test us. I've been through them and I'm sure a large percentage of members and guests reading this have been through them. If your "T" goes too low you're liable to crash. That can lead to some serious depression and put your mental game out of whack. I honestly think you can't afford not to be on it. Ask your mortgage company if they will let you skip a month (might be surprised with their response), then use that money for you and your family, including a little HRT for the man of the house.
