Thumbs up Protein Shakes and Cardio or Non-WO Days

I've been following a lot of the threads on these boards and I think the consensus is to limit shakes as much as possible (i.e. pre/post workout and maybe a cassein before bed.)

I've read/heard mixed things about protein shakes on CARDIO only or Non-Work out days. What do guys think, yes/no?? If yes, when - after cardio or some other time?

    Thanks.

If you can get real food then do it. If your schedule makes it tough its ok to slide in a meal replacement here and there. Thats always better than eating crap or missing a feed.

    This will do the trick:

Your PWO shake take it first thing in the morning instead of your breakfast, making it meal #1 (considering it contains only high GI carbs and fast digesting protein mixed with water)
And then, breakfast is meal #2. The rest you can adjust accordingly to your schedule.

I don't think it's a good idea to take the PWO shake after cardio in rest days.
PWO shake>>> High GI carbs>>> Slin release>>> Blunted lipolysis
