as far as hockey goes..... it's only natural for you people up north in the frigid temperatures to be better at it...... I look at it like this.....

Unfortunately hockey is america's #3 sport. As a nation - we love baseball and football more than hockey..... As far as highschool goes - I can't speak for the nation but I can speak for my section of new jersey...... Hockey isn't big in highschool sports and it's non existant in middle/grade school. So the majority of the US hockey players come from parents who have the money to enroll their kids in leagues that aren't affiliated with schools. The equipment isn't supplied either..... you must buy it.....

If hockey became as big as baseball or football (I would love it to) and if schools started up hockey teams/leagues - then america would have a far better turnout in the NHL than they do now.

I guess another arguement one could make is that america isn't that bad at hockey. Sure you guys may have won more in the past..... but you have to admit..... we're better than most of the world and we don't have the "exposure" to hockey like you guys do when growing up. Maybe if we did..... we'd be #1? For now..... we'll never know.....

Lol. Hockeys just not for me. I grew up in the south where there was no hockey and never even saw a real game until I was 20 years old. Even when I moved up north my school was too small for a hockey team. So in other words hockey sucks.
