shingles and anavar..

started taking var 60 mg ed. few days ago sametime a rash started, turns out it shingles and going to be taking meds. is it better to keep going or wait till after. will the anavar make it heal quicker didnt want to ask the doc...

There are a number of class of meds for shingels. Check the medications below.

Over-the-counter pain medicines, such as acetaminophen, aspirin, or ibuprofen.
Tricyclic antidepressants, such as amitriptyline.
Topical medicines, such as a lidocaine patch.
Anticonvulsants, such as gabapentin or pregabalin.
Corticosteroids, such as prednisone.
Nerve block injections.
Opioids, such as codeine, oxycodone, and morphine.

I don't see anything there that might interfere with the anabolic nature of anavar. Shingles is a viral infection so there nothing really that the Anavar's going to do to speed your recovery. The only only question I would have is the corticosteroid such as pregabalin. It's a neuropathic drug which reduces the pain caused by shingles to your nervous system. Even that's not like cotizol so you should be ok.

I had shingles once when I was 25. The doctors told me this. When a person gets chicken pocks for the first time even though the symptoms go away it stays in your body forever. Eventually your body adapts to it and keeps it suppressed. But in some cases if the person gets very ill and there immune system becomes weak for some reason. The chicken pocks will reemerge as shingles . After some testing I learned that I was in-fact allergic to cats and had been living with them for 10 or so years. My reaction to them was mild but after years of relentless pressure my immune system began to fail. It was then that the shingles started to emerge...
As I write this I am currently on Prednisone for a reaction I had to Poison Ivy. It is my understanding that Prednisone suppresses the immune system in order to lesson certain reactions such as this. In the back of my mind I am wondering if the shingles will try and make an appearance…
