    Overeem calls out Fedor!

I'm sure most of you watched, but Overeem has been calling out Fedor even when fighting in Japan.

But I did like how he brings Fedors "management" into the question stating "they denied the fight against me"

I understand no one should doubt Fedor, but I don't see how he could beat Alistair. Some how after putting on all that size, he's even improved his already top K-1 level striking. He's no slouch on the ground either, between his skill and strength, the guy has to be about impossible to submit.

I don't think Tim, AA or Werdum are/were ever challenges for Fedor.

But if he's running from the top dogs, he has no where left to run now. With AI in strike force, and a new bigger breed of fighter in the UFC, "Fedor/management" is finally going to be tested, or finally be exposed for ducking fights

i'll agree with you.. fedors mangement or him or whatever it is needs to put up or shut up..

even though i'm a big fedor fan, i am sick on the once a year fights, two fights in 2009. but not a good avg over the past 4 years.

One major thing that came out too was "management" turned down the opportunity to fight Overeem, stating that they suspect him of using steriods. Even though, he has never failed a drug test.

Later, they talked about setting up the Barnett fight again....Barnett who has failed 3 drug test.

I have not checked the sources yet, but if it's true, they do not want Fedor fighting Overeem, which would also put him not fighting in the UFC under scrutiny.

Honsetly I think that overeem matches up well against fedor ,and in my opinion wins the fight but I think fedor is going to destroy werdoom .overeem is not the best in the world but he is , by a landslide will be the toughest opponent that fedor wll face in the last 10 years,if they fight

i don't think 10yrs, but i would agree its in his top 5 of hardest fights.

i think fedors big weakness right now is that the cage is different than the ring. and big weighed guys have an advantage in a cage, where weight isn't an issue in a ring. both have their ups and downs, but as far as weigh cage's help big strong guys.

I agree, that's why I think fedor would have problem with most of the top heavyweights in the ufc

This fight wont happen. M1 and Fedor will dodge this fight they are notorious for picking fights he can win. Fedor is the back bone of M1 and if he loses M1 is done

this isn't a fedor rant, only keeping it logical

The only time they have in any way shape or form dodged fights is not coming to the UFC.. and people can still make the argument that the UFC didn't have lots of proven HWs in spring/summer of 2009. .dana white said himself that the HW division in the UFC was very weak in fall of 2008..

and no matter what peoples opinion is of tim s and AA are now.. at the time of their fights with Fedor they were very highly ranked and thought to be amazing, and he didn't dodge them.. don't forget between 2000-2006 he fought every ranked person there was.

the fight will happen, if fedor wins this summer. sadly because of M-1s poor management they will draw it out until spring of 2011.

AA has a glass chin and Randy almost knocked out Tim. Those are easy wins for Fedor. 2009 the HW division was stacked. There is no reason why Fedor should not be in the UFC fighting top guys. Hes fought top guys in the past but look at all of them now, the new bread is destroying them. For him to be considered 1# he needs to face top guys not fighting guys who are not top 6. This fight might happen but i highly doubt it something will happen and even if he does face Overeem and wins whos next? back to Dream?

the point is we know NOW that AA has a glass chin.. and Tim only dropped in the ratings because of his current loses.. my only point is fedor has not really dodged talent..

and the though now we see the people in the UFC is good, no in mid 2009 the HWs in the UFC were not thought to be the new bread. we only now say that because most of them have proven they are....

and i'm not defending fedors horrible management. merely pointing out that we can't point fingers and say things after the fact. nobody could have predicted the major change in heavy weights. at the end of 2008 beginning of 2009 nobody would have believed that by summer of 2010 there would be 5 quality 250lb and up guys in the HW division. because prior those types never did very well long run.

like everybody says, its the new breed of HW's, and they call it there because its new, lets not act like its been around for years....

Fedor needs to start fighting these guys and stop being a *****. he also needs to be in the UFC to solidify his legacy. Age is not on his side right now

I agree with buffnstuff. 100%. If I remeber correctly didn't fedor face mark colman in his last fight in pride? Was colman ranked ?iam not saying fedor dodged any fights ,but the last like 10 fights the guy had were agaisnt tomato cans .fedor in his prime cleaned pride ,and want the man did was great .I just think that not being that active and new fighters being bigger, stronger and faster ,I just don't think that he can be as dominate or even be the champ now with these new fighters. I think there are more then enough light heavyweights can can beat fedor.I'm my opinion he should cut down to 205 ,I think he would have a better shot at being on top again .

But when Dana was Negotiating with Fedor and management in 2009 the HW division was stacked even the top new comers were not top yet but they were on there way and everyone knew were they were going. Dana was gonna give him pretty much everything but they want half of all the profits of all the events Fedor fights in. Knowing damn well that shit will never happen. Then they come to terms saying strikeforce is better for Fedors future. Then they try to legitimize strikeforces HW division. That to me is ducking competition. I dont know if u guys know this but Fedor does own 25% of M1 Global. So him in the UFC will never happen
