Sust Amp - Help

Today I opened my first Sust 250 amp which actually went far better than I thought. I used a curated knife on the amp, used a tissue over my hand and pushed on the black dot. And I also let the amp sit in warm water for 3 mins prior to opening it.

My problem came with drawing the oil. With vials its pretty easy, you just turn it upside down and slowly draw back, push the air out and repeat.

Does anyone have any good ideas on how to draw the amp properly? I cant turn the amp upside down and use gravity and it takes quite a few pumps and unfortunately when i pump the air out, several drops follow. I lost perhaps 10%?

Make sure the plunger is buried as far as it will go in the syringe. Tilt the amp slightly to one side or the other, bury the needle in the bottom of the amp(tilted side) and slowly draw. Works like a charm everytime. I think that's the only way to do it.

also for the last few drops, make sure the hole in the pin is as flat as possible on the flat of the inside of the vial. tilt the vial so the last of the oil is laying on the side of the vial, and suck it out. If you somehow don't get it all, carefully invert the syringe, push out the air and repeat this process. You will also want to change the pin before injecting, as it can dull after rattling it around inside the amp. 10% loss it way too much!

im baffled as to why u used a knife and warm water theres a split on the amp if u look closely put thumb over thumb over the black dot n it will crack right where the cut is.
19 gauge tilted amp does the trick every time as posted above be carefull when using knives and shit to open amps i had a nurse blasting me once dero tried a knife n got a miniature shard of glass in my shoulder

people use a knife or file to score the amp. It makes it easier to open and less chance of shattering

DrTy: First Amp Ive ever cracked. I did as much research on here as to how to open them safely (Heard some can shatter, sometimes oil can be too thick to draw) hence I used a knife and the warm water.

But while using the knife i did notice under the black dot there seemed to already be some sort of a cut. And being in oz, these suckers cost a bit so Id prefer to not waste one

Thanks to all for advice. I accidentally posted this thread twice, and the best answer Ive read was to remove the plunger and just pour the sust down the back of the barrel.

people use a knife or file to score the amp. It makes it easier to open and less chance of shattering

people do it, but its not required. especially on an amp that has a dot like that on it. that means its already got a score in it. it will pop off very easily. and then you dont risk cutting your hand open with a knife.

hrm tempted now to just pop an amp without scoring the amp with a knife.
Granted the least thing Im afraid of is a knife cutting me. I always face the knife away from me but granted under the black dot it seems to have a cerate of some sort underneath the black dot.

Does anyone else not bother with using a knife? What is the success rate? It seemed as if itd provide the same result without the knife but.. these suckers cost me like one zero zero a pop. So im not keen to be a Guinea pig.

Dont do this. That does not seem sterile at all. I would never use a syringe that i have pulled the plunger out of and exposed it to the environment around it.

It may go slow but who cares. If there is some left pull more on the plunger past the 1ml mark then flip the syringe over and push the plunger back to the right point

not to mention, what if theres a chip of glass still left around the neck of the amp?? youre going to be dumping that right into the syringe.

personally, i hold the amp with one hand, then the barrel of the syringe in the other. then i use my teeth to grab the plunger and draw it back.

i dont understand how you could leave oil in the amp?? if you bury the needle in the lowest point, with the amp slightly tilted(just like common sense would tell you to do), then you should have no problems getting everything out.

I have had small shards of glass drop inside the amp before, do not just dump the oil into the syringe with the plunger out. You think 10% loss is bad think how much you will lose from gravity while the plunger is out, and pressure while trying to replace the plunger. In years past I had a great mexican connect for STEN, I loved the stuff, and have drawn from I would guess 100's of vials. The advice I and others gave above is the best way.

then buy an amp opener they are like 8 bucks or use a small file instead of a knife. So amps are very easy to open with out doing anything. Some amps are a pain. It doesnt hurt to score it more. As long as you dont stab your self.

i have never scored an amp to open it. even the ones that dont have a dot on them. and i have never broken an amp to date.

use whatever gauge you got. usually i have 22g.

I go with 18 gauge when pulling from amps because there is no stopper to worry about tearing up. With vials i go with a 20 or 21

Been using 23g for drawing from vials. I assume 20 would make it easier.

u can use whatever you have. but the bigger the pin, the easier itll be. then you can just switch to a 25g to pin yourself.

yeah picked 100 18g 1 inch pins. Figured theyd be good for something. let you guys know how it goes

thisbmine is banned, however anyone else having this problem just soak the amp in warm water for 2-3 minutes. and If you tilt the amp as suggested above you shouldnt have any problems

Some substances such as tren would lose potency by being disposed to excess heat or light. The idea is not to heat up the amp but to warm it up a little. MO
