Hey forum, new here first post though I've read quite a bit. I have a few questions regarding me personally and want to hear some honest opinions.
I'm 19 years old and before people start talking about my age I don't plan on starting a cycle for at least a year or two.
Here's my fitness history:
-Been active my whole life, longtime football player, wrestler, and distance runner.
-Started lifting the summer going into 11th grade to prepare for varsity football. Weighed 140 lbs and was 5'8
-Currently weigh 162 and am 5'9
-Low bodyfat percentage (not sure of the number but when i was tested for wrestling it was always around 12% probably about that now)
Current Diet and Supplementation Program
1st Meal-eggs, oatmeal, milk, 5 grams creatine monohydrate, multi vitamin, vitamin C, chromium picolinate, magnesium, fish oil, calcium
2nd Meal-tuna fish and either brown rice or whole wheat pasta
1st Snack- nuts (walnuts and/or almonds)
pre workout- Jack3d, 5 grams creatine monohydrate
post workout- whey protein shake in milk
2nd Snack- fruit (pineapple, banana, and/or watermelon)
3rd Meal- fish, chicken, or steak and salad and steamed vegetables (brocoli or spinach usually)
3rd Snack-whey protein shake before bed
Been following this loosely for a few months and VERY VERY VERY strictly for a month. I get 6-9 hours of sleep a night, spend about an hour a day in the gym, 45 minutes hard lifting. I eat so clean and so much and sleep a lot i dont understand why im not making gains maybe someone can show me some flaws in my program but i feel like i cant possibly be more dedicated.
Fitness Program
Day 1: Chest and Triceps
Day 2: Back and Biceps
Day 3: Legs and Shoulders
Day 4: Rest day (light cardio and stretching all outside of the gym I skip the Jack3d but take the creatine and the "post workout" shake)
I do 10 minutes light cardio after each lifting session and then spend 5 minutes in the sauna. I work my abs every other day alternating between doing it at the beginning and the end of my main workout for the day. I switch up the lifts I use too often to really put them on here but the staples of my workout tend to be this (I'll give the one exercise per body part that I'm basically guaranteed to do each time I hit the gym)
Chest- Incline Bench
Triceps- Skull Crushers
Back- Deadlift
Biceps- Hammer Curls
Legs- Squat
Shoulders- Dumbbell Front Raise
More or less everyone I talk to says my program is great and to just keep following it. But i am planning ahead that if i don't get the body i want and the body i feel i deserve in 6months-2 years (depending on my patience) i am going to cycle something, like maybe an oral steroid or something to push me past this plateau. I know my size is not impressive to serious lifters but consider the fact that I am a naturally very thin and small boned person and it was incredibly difficult for me to reach this point. I AM NOT A KID LOOKING FOR A QUICK FIX. I believe strongly in hard work but it's getting depressing seeing all the sacrifices I make (strict diet, no alcohol, going to sleep early, lifting hard) and see other people make better gains due to genetics. i feel like i need an edge that steroids may be able to provide.
My goals are to maybe gain 10-15 lbs of muscle and lose 3 or 4 lbs of fat or at least not put any on.
Okay so you have my nutrition and fitness program i've been following you have my background, physical stats and my goals. what am i doing wrong? feel free to ask any more questions about me or what i do i wasnt sure how detailed to get.
A huge thank you to anyone who read all this and a bigger thank you to anyone who feels like posting some impressions or questions or advice.
