    Crystal Light

    I have been drinking up to a six pack of 20oz pepsi's for the last few years since my military career ended.

    I have decided to do on a weight loss diet and then I want to bulk up with some cycles. (long time from now) I must read and learn alot before I attempt to do so.

    I am not too fond of water so is it bad to add just a little of the 0 calories sweetener to some water. Yesterday was the first time I have actually drank pure water in a long time. To tell you the truth it is actually the first morning I have not waken up with the stomach acid taste in my throat.

    My stomach always feels hard to the touch even though my belly is huge. I think it is kinda distended.

    Will drinking lots of water help with this. I am going to post my diet up in another thread to see what you think.

    I think crystal light is ok, but not constantly. The artifical sweetners are arguably unhealty and can cause adverse effects. Plus, you're body will apreciate pure H2O much more. Since you were in the military, you should not have a problem manning up and getting some water in! It will help to keep you hydrated, move nutrients around more efficiently, and continously flush your body and system, including burned fat cells excreted in your urine.

    I know it has only been a few days since I have stopped drinking soft drinks but it seems like my energy is slowly picking up. I am trying to eat a couple more times a day with much less portions and more healthy.

    As much as people (Gbrice) rant on crystal light - I still drink it & have about a 1quart-2quarts a day. It helps me get more water in. I have no problem consuming 5 calories a day from a soft drink that's delicious (fruit punch).

    As far as carcinogens - I guess I'll have to pray to an imaginary God.

    heh, i'm not really against it, i'd just be worried about drinking it in excess due to the artificial sweetners. You can't beat good ol' H20.

    Other than the 2 weeks prior to a show I drink it everyday.

    I don't use it to full strength. I get about double amount of mixed liquid than I am supposed to. I just have to have some flavor in my water.

    I like a squirt of lime juice in a bottle of water. It's very refreshing and tasty.
