Too much eggs? such a thing?

Alright folks, here is my current diet based on those excellent Milos secrets of the pros videos everyone should watch. Concept is to keep the carb intake for only the times the body needs it. But im trying to simplify, so here is my current diet and my question regarding eggs to follow:

Meal 1: 4 egg whites, 1 egg whole, half cup steal cut oats
Meal 2: Blend protein shake, Celery (fibrous carbs)
    Meal 3: Eggs/chicken or steak + celery
Meal 4: (Pre workout) 4 egg whites, 1 egg whole, half cup steal cut oats
    Meal 5: (PWO) 2 scoops multi-blend protein + glouco/carb shake (50 grams each)
    Meal 6: Steak/Chicken/fish

    my question...

I'm looking to substitute my meal 3 with yet another helping of eggs and celery. the reason being... i find its much more complicated to prepare meat and pack it for a lunch meal, and i sometimes (more often then i like) wont eat it because left over meat is beginning to make me feel sick looking at it, so i cant bring myself to eat it sometimes.

Is there any conceivable reason why keeping the diet real simple and sticking to a mostly egg and oats diet wont work for my goals, which right now are shredding and maintaining my very good gains.. any thoughts would be appreciated.

I don't think it's the worst thing in the world, but the idea is to get your protein from multiple sources in order to get a very broad spectrum of amino acids. On top of that, different proteins/foods have different digestion rates, some fast, some slow, and it's good to have a mix of both. Also, meat has much higher thermogenic properties vs. eggs, and that's something you want.

I personally wouldn't rely on eggs for the majority of my protein. You have to man up and eat the meat bro!

    Hey gbrice,

Thanks for your thoughts. I agree with you about mixing it up... but its the strangest thing... sometimes i just almost hurl from a steak in the middle of the day.
Any alternatives? i mean, could i swing in a chicken burger off the grill or something like that? i think my problem is im getting a little irritable stomach wise when it comes to whole meats like chicken breast and beef slabs... dont get me wrong, im a total carnivore, but just wanted to throw this out there to see what everyone else thinks.

Yah, i seem to have no issues with eggs at all... i actually grave my egg and oat meals, i feel like a horse or something, lol.

theres nothing wrong with eggs, they have a full amino acid profile.

though i have read its bets to vary your protein sources, something to do with allergys or along the lines of that.

its in milos sarcevs diet video

Yes your both absolutely right about the allergy thing too. I think that part of the video was a little unscientific because he didnt really back it with any hard evidence, just a comment from his doctor or something to that effect. But i'll buy it and agree, and a good mix is probably best... maybe throw in one more meat meal after meal #6...

Milos also puts together an 8 meal plan which im finding hard to manage from the shear amount of eating, but if there's no real reason i cant eat all my meat meals say after my workout, that would mean i could cook them once i get home and have them fresh... absolutely no problems doing that... i'd live in my beautiful stainless steel bbq if there was a bed in there for me, lol.

What do you guys think of that idea... say last meal at 9:30 chicken breast or fish?

lol, Emperor, im really hoping thats NOT your picture in the avatar... somehow your credibility would not be as good as the other gents responding to the thread. lol.

No actually i may have wrote that wrong, i meant all my meat meals after my workout... so i'd have my PWO shake which is what you suggested, then i get home, have a steak, then couple hours later near 9:30 have another chicken breast.

The point is, i can make these last two meat meals while im at home, fresh, no sitting in the fridge gilatinating (not sure thats a real word) until its time to eat.

ohh ok the way it was worded i thought you meant all meals after workout.

beileve it or not some do that.

on the egg issue i think you should have egg free days just as i have chicken free days because i do a lot of chickens in.

That is some god awful gyno! wow i thought i had it bad. I developed Gyno as a teen, in fact when i turned 23 i put some money to the side to get it surgically removed. Im still self conscious for some reason.

Anyway, yes egg free days sound like a good idea... both weekend days i can do that, and then Wednesday to break up the week.

    Awesome, thanks for the advice.

yeah you look fine, 60 percent of men have a little gyno to a lot. i had it as a kid ,but it was just fat not tissue,so it went away with clean eating and working out. im 33 now gyno free. but i know what you mean.

yeah that sounds good, give the eggs a break now and then. still a great source though. hell im about to boil 6 now thinking about it. lol
