Long story short, Israeli soldiers intercepted this convoy bound for Gaza to deliver aid, boarded, met with some restistance from crew members and the outcome resulted in over 10 people killed, all of which were crew members. Israel is claiming they had no choice but to defend themselves.

The leading ship was a Turkish ship, one of the few islamic countries that Israel had semi-amiacable ties with, however this relationship has been strained over the years and now this looks as if that's been ruined.

The convoy was eventually taken to an Israeli port where the passengers were deported.

All this, a day before Barrack Obama meets with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in Washington to discuss relations between the US and Israel.
