It's pretty fast for me but I use 18G pins for drawing out of amps.

18 or 20 ga. work the best although i've had to use 21's-22's. try not to go smaller than that.

My biggest concern is any residing glass particles left in the amp after i break the top off. Is it common or what?
And will a smaller gage like 20-21 mean less of a chance to suck up the particles?
I've looked at needle filters, but damn, there expensive.
