I drink them raw when mixing with shakes and such all the time. It's fine.

I used to buy eggs in bulk and crack them all at once to get the whites and drink them raw only. In really high amounts, never got sick. I started cooking them because I read it brings out more usable nutrients. Not sure how much truth there is to that.

Use em raw. Great protein spike for your shakes.

    Your all wrong!!

Sorry to break it to you guys chugging raw eggs but you might as well just pour half of it down the drain. The whole raw egg thing is just old school bro science and nothing else. Cooked eggs are a very good protein source but raw they are one of the worst. So always cook your eggs for this reason and safety reasons.

Here is an great paper showing the science behind it.

Do you know of any other studies done on the bioavailabilty of raw eggs. I like to eat raw eggs because it's quick, so I would be very interested. That study used only 5 people, and they did not eat whole raw eggs, mostly whites.

Yea dude don't crack open some eggs and drink'em down. You can buy them in cartons. One carton is 48 grams of protein. Plus they pasteurize them so you dont gotta worry about getting salmonella. I'll drink one with my oats in the morn if im in a hurry, or as a snack. After awhile it kinda tastes like milk.

Thats the only study I have a link to online that I can find at the moment but I will look around. The reason they used egg whites is because thats where almost all the protein is in an egg. The yolk has only a small amount of protein.

This raw egg eating is bogus. I gotta make some scrambled and actually enjoy them, I ain't pounding raw eggs for no one.

I eat my oats in a blander with protein powder and skim in the AM.
