Thread: what to expect from a years hard training ?

  1. #1

Arrow what to expect from a years hard training ?

been lifting almost 2 years now got a decent programme and a pretty good diet to, getting in enough protean etc.
if i was to get a picture of me before i started the gym and now there are visable changes but i feel like i almost havent changed really in a whole year. my weight seems to always be up and down but around the 12stone mark. have been 12.1/2 stone at one point but that was when i was on weight gainer and the extra half stone was sitting on my belly to be honest so now i stick to pure whey. am i expecting to much for natural training ? what roughly is the average amount of muscle mass you can gain a year ?
    thanks

If you're not gaining anymore it's either your diet(likely), your training, or a combination of both. You have to adjust your diet as you grow.

go to the very first sticky thread in the diet section and watch the six videos that were posted there. i've been lifting and dieting for 6 years but definitely found the information there a much needed review.

I would say if you aren't where you want to be and you aren't making changes . its time to redo your work out

your first year are two any work out split, even a bad one will show improvement to the body. after that you have to change things, look at what you are doing poorly and well. also simple things like what days you do what, or what you do for each muscle group should be changed.

    what is your workout split?

Diet is 90% beleive me i was a hard gainer back then , i did all sorts of routines until i met this football guy who showed me out to eat to gain mass.

that year i must have gained 30 pounds and went from 160 pounds where i was stuck for a year to 190 pounds, naturally.
