    Ectomorphs and cutting

I have been seriously lifting for just over a year now. I started at 170 lbs. and now weigh 200lbs (finally) with a bench over 300lbs. Now it's time for me to cut. Gaining weight has been tough for me because of my high metabolism. I HAVE to have 6 meals a day RELIEIGOUSLY or I can easily drop 4-5 lbs in a week (not kidding). I also had to cut cardio to 2 X's a week for 20 min. to gain weight.

My question is should I keep the same calories coming in? Do I drop calories? Go up? An added problem is I am going to Air Assault School at the end of August so my cardio will be mutlipied by long and hard ruck marches almost daily. Anyone have an Idea of what I should do?Advise?

AND since I am in the Workout forum. Anyone heard/tried Crossfit? I ran into a old military buddy who is now an 18 series. He said this program has allowed him to keep a lot of his strength and increase his cardio dramatically (Dude was F'in Jacked!)

And lastly I am not the biggest dude here nor the most in shape but I'm getting there thanks to dedicated and helpful individuals on this forum I have learned so much and applied it for good results, thanks to all who help the newbie! Most of all thanks to Oki power for all his insight!

You're in the wrong section - post your stats (height, weight, age, BMR, TDEE) and your current diet along with the macros in a format similar to calories/protein/carbs/fats (100/20/5/0).

To gain weight calories in > calories out.
To lose weight calories out > calories in.

Your TDEE is based on how active you are and will tell you the calories you need to maintain your current weight - once you have that figured out - to cut just eat 20% less than TDEE.

    So if you have a TDEE of 3000 then 20% is 600, so 3000 - 600 = 2400 - and that's where you should strive to eat.

Figure this out - then head to the diet section.
