    Question Skinny Dude On a Mission

    Weight: 66 kg
    Height: 184 cm

    Hi guys, I've been training for a few months now. But I haven't got a decent routine sorted.

    Just to be clear, I've adjusted my diet appropriately. I've put on 6kg recently. Yes, I used to only weigh 59 kg.. I'm one skinny MoFo.

    But, I've got access to some gym equipment and I'd love it if somebody could knock together a decent training routine for me. I've basically been going in Monday Wednesday Friday. I should probably do more. I've been breaking it into chest, legs and back. However, I'm not happy with what I'm doing.

    It'd be awesome if somebody could say, "Right Skinny Dude, you're gonna do this, or I'm going to kick the crap out of you". And then list a routine for me.

    I'm pretty sure with all the experience you guys have, it wouldn't take you long.

    What is your work out split looking like so far?

    do you have any over all goals?

    In terms of overall goals, I just want to put on some weight. It'd be nice to actually have a chest. My skinny legs and arms could have some muscle too.

    I don't know what you mean by work out split.....

    'Split ' is what you are doing now.. Chest on Monday, Legs on Wed, Back on Fri. What you are doing is fine for your goals. Just remember to to compound exercises first ( Bench press,Dips, shoulder press on chest day, Squats on leg day, Deadlifts , heavy rows, and pullups on Back day. ) Then work your more isolated movements.

    Here is what you don't want to hear, but I'm gonna tell you anyway. There is a thread in the 'diet' section at the top with the word 'important' in front of it called 'so you wanna learn how to diet', it's a video, about an hour long but broken down in small parts. Watch a few today, few tommorrow, take a week to finish the whole thing. That is the single most important thread on this website. Your mind will be blown by what you learn. Really. And it's all free of charge.

    post what a normal week or month looks like for you in the gym.. and we can help you from there.

    It is so annoying trying to figure out how many lbs X number of "kg" is.......jeez. That or whatever the hell a "stone" is.

    But I digress.....

    You need to eat a ton of food, and workout max 3 times a week with no cardio. That would be a start.

    Do you work your shoulders? I hope so.

    I'm about to watch the videos.

    I do do shoulders.
