Hi, thanks in advance for any help you can give me. I know my case is a little different than most on this forum, but I'm hoping maybe someone knows of a similar spot.
Basically I started seeing a nutritionist in January '09 to lose weight. I'm not a body builder or anything. When the diet wasn't getting the best results, he suggested I could go on testosterone. He had run a bunch of blood tests. I am 41 and it was something like 397, which he said is on the low end. He did say something about my free testosterone being good. So I did two prescriptions of cyprionate with his doctor, roughly 200mg/week. It' worked great, I loved feeling like I was in my 20s again. Also I decided to get a trainer to lift weights and try to capitalize on being on test.
At that point his doctor sort of flaked out (I think she had planned to prescribe me some kind of PCT, I know she mentioned something that sounded like what I now know is PCT). My trainer said he could get me more test, and never really talked about cycling. Reluctantly I went ahead and did it, and have been taking between 200 and 400mg/week of enthanate ever since - missing a week here and there.
I did lose about 45-lbs over that time and have added maybe 10 lbs. of muscle, so that's great. My diet is really good too and I feel great. But I'm not trying to get huge. I'm pretty long and lanky and would rather just go for the lean look.
So for various reasons I'd like to get off the stuff now and am wondering if I should try a very long cycle with clomid maybe? Also does anyone know if 15 months is enough to totally shut down your natural production? I'd say my balls are 10% smaller, maybe 20%. Hard to judge. They weren't huge to begin with (so at least now I have an excuse - lol). I have health insurance but can't really talk about this with them for obvious reasons.
Anyway I know this is a pretty retarded newbie thing to post. But I really don't know who else to ask. I guess my trainer just thinks everyone should go on it for life. I wish he would have talked to me about cycling. I guess it is a little different though since I'm 41 and was already on the low end.
Thanks again!
