TRT is both sound and reliable and your dosage is sensible based on the levels you cited. Much like thyroidal support, the body's naturally adaptive abilities can be coaxed into producing greater amounts even to the point of recovery, because this it should be routinely monitored.
Similarly, your body may adapt to the external/behavioral factors (should they truly exist) that contribute to depressed levels. Any good doc will provide you regular (even if sparsely intermittent) check ups. Nevertheless, long term TRT won't harm you, and serves only to support your hypogonadism. Be sure to get retested though.
