    prescribed steroids for low t

hey guys, im 46 years old and have been getting 200 mg shots every two weeks for about a year for low testosterone. it was low at 215 when i 1st had it checked.ive had a bunch of tests ran and they determined that it was testicular hypogonadism.i also drink some as well as taking a statin both of which could have contributed to the low levels from what i understand.recently ive started worrying more from the possible long term effects to my natural testosterone production by doing this continuously. my question is: should i cycle off the steroids for a while and supplement with something? i know very little but im smart enough to know most of you guys know more than any dr on this subject. i weight lift a few times a week and although im not near as serious as most of you im in decent shape. any advice wiil be very much appreciated

    No need.

TRT is both sound and reliable and your dosage is sensible based on the levels you cited. Much like thyroidal support, the body's naturally adaptive abilities can be coaxed into producing greater amounts even to the point of recovery, because this it should be routinely monitored.

Similarly, your body may adapt to the external/behavioral factors (should they truly exist) that contribute to depressed levels. Any good doc will provide you regular (even if sparsely intermittent) check ups. Nevertheless, long term TRT won't harm you, and serves only to support your hypogonadism. Be sure to get retested though.

I wouldn't cycle off at all but if you do you will need a full PCT to get back to where you were before even if you get that high. If you want you natural production to stay active and nuts big talk with your doc about HCG.

We also have a TRT forum here. Its will be more helpful than the main one. Heres the link...... http://forums.steroid.com/forumdisplay.php?f=72
