Thread: too much training ???

    Arrow too much training ???

who here would say training one bodypart everyday monday-friday would be better than training mon-wed-fri mixed bodyparts ?
    for instance would
    monday: bicep-tricep
    tuesday: legs
    wednesday: shoulders
    thursday: back
    friday: chest
be a good training programme for a natural bodybuilder ?
or would you say the 3 day split training is better ?
    like -
    monday :chest-tricep
    wednesday:back-bicep
    friday:shoulders-legs
at the moment i am only training 3 days but have looked into increasing days.
would you all say that the mon-fri training would be too much ?
and reason i put on this forum is i know its most viewed as i wasnt getting any reponce from the worout section.
    cheers

My current training is your second example, only I do it twice a week.

    Example:
    Monday: Chest + tri's
    Tuesday: Back + bi's
    Wednesday: Legs
    Thursday: Chest + tri's
    Friday: Back + bi's
    Saturday: Legs
    Sunday: Off

Edit: I should add I havn't felt sore one day while using AAS. If you're natural, that might be too much. So I'd go with your first routine.

    Lightbulb

You could be overtraining. You need time to recover. I suggest a 3-4x per wk routine,,combining 1-3 bodyparts per workout,,, instead of training daily.

Ah shit, I totally read his splits wrong...

    Monday: Chest + Back
    Tuesday: Shoulders + Arms
    Wednesday: Legs
    Repeat again

I don't know how I missed that... it must have been late...

If I'm training naturally (which is most of the time) I train 6 days a week, one bodypart per day which means I can go mental on that bodypart, still recover, and yet be at the gym regularly, which is kind of therapy for me - lol!! It looks like this:

    Day 1: Legs
    Day 2: Shoulders
    Day 3: Chest
    Day 4: Calves & Cardio
    Day 5: Back
    Day 6: Triceps
    Day 7: Rest
    Day 8: Biceps & Cardio

I normally train until I can't walk on leg day, until I can't lift my arms above waist height on arm day, and until I puke on back day - lol!! I'm 41 years old and it works for me!
