    Question Need help with losing muscle for a fight??

    I know this might sound weird that i want to lose muscle but im 5"9 191lbs and im really cut up right now but i need to get down to 170lbs for my fight in oct!It would be alot easier for me to get to that weight if i lose some muscle, just having a hard time doing it! I train 6days a week doing MMA at American top team in coconut creek fl! I dont lift weights as much and do lots of cardio and other things to keep my heart rate at around 180! My diet is very clean and i try to eat every 2-3hr no later! If anyone can help me that would be great! Thanks!!

    you will be doing enough cardio so you should be good to go.

    Im same height, use to box @ 170, then later faught @ middleweight... now Im 225 so I dont think Im competing anymore... best of luck with your fight

    no, clen does not really burn muscle that quickly and you will have to worry about serious cramps with high dosages and your training.

    Your training out of ATT and you don't have anyone to give you a hand with a cut?

    That's one of the premier gyms in North America....seems like someone other than posting your team on a STEROID message board might be able to help you out.

    I dont think it comes as a suprise to anyone the cycling that goes on at these gyms, especially the top ones... he's just looking for a bit of help

    Go round robbin to exaustion daily...and stick to cutting diet...you'll loose muscle.

    Honesty if that is you in the pic you have 5-10lbs of fat to g to be in GSP range of leanes and then water manipulation for weight-ins and you are in for sure into the 170lbs, let me know if you want some help i have worked with hundreds of bodybuilders and other athletes but never MMA, and always wanted toi can help you reach your weight for sure...you can check my rep around here for getting results...and all MMA fighters are free...for now anyway ;-)

    U can lose a lot of water. I don't know about 21 pounds though. if you go to a sauna constantly shave your sweat with a plastic card. you can also boost that with a diuretic and by limiting your intake of salt. It works very well for me. what's the time frame between your weight in and your fight?

    do you have a same day weigh in or day before? there are ways to flush out extra water weight without loosing your muscle. Drinking distilled water, all liquid diet, low sodium, low carb, and obviously the sauna. If you cut out your carbs and cause your body to go into ketogenesis you will burn break down muscle for your body to burn as fuel. Have you ever done a test cut before? some guys will do a week of simulated weigh in prep by cutting out their sodium and switching to distilled water and then cutting off the water and food and see how low they can to see how much mass they have to shed off to make the weight.
