Fat loss drug by an unknown mechanism

I am going to put this in here because the lack of traffic in the supp section.
This makes very interesting reading, this compound induces weight reduction by an unknown mechanism!!

    Migraine drug cuts fat

Topiramate is used to treat migraine headaches. German researchers discovered that it also reduced bodyfat and enhanced metabolic health. They gave 100milligrams of the drug per day to six patients for 20 weeks, which reduced body mass index (proportion of weight to height) by 7%. Body fat by 12% waist circumferance by 4%, leptin (controls appetite and metabloic rate) by 39% and insulin resistance by 37%. It increased adiponectin (helps cntrol blood sugar and fat deposit) by 70%. Topiramate decreased body fat and improved metabolic health.
