Refuse Package for Refund

I am planning on refusing a package I ordered internationally. Got the wrong stuff and am sending it back for a refund. If I mark the package as refused will it have to pass through customs again on the exit out of the country? Is it worth it or are my chances higher of the package getting seized on the way out?

If I don't have to sign for the package and wish to refuse it, do I just write refuse and take it to the post office?

You could write return to sender but it will go through customs again. If it made it through the first time then it will probably make it back but its not guaranteed

It will definitely go through Customs again but they are far more lax with stuff leaving than they are with stuff coming in. You're gtg IMO.

cant see how the customs can hang it on u if it gets seized given u've initially refused the package. coz u can always say that u didnt order it and hence u're sending it back. they got no case against u.

Mail does not go through customs on the way out. they may scan it for bomb threats, but it will not go through any other inspections.

But it will go through customs on the way in to the other country. If it is legal in that country then it wont be a problem. If it is illegal to receive said items in the suppliers country, then it could potentially be seized

In this game I doubt you will get any type of refund. I don't think most places will do exchanges either unless you contact them first... You aren't ordering from ebay...

If you ordered from overseas they use a fake return address for reasons I will not post here.

You should just keep what you ordered as I doubt you wil get any type of refund unless you already discussed this with the person who shipped you the package. But if you did that you would not have posted this thread.
