carb up - off days or training days

hi everyone, do you guys find carb ups more effective on rest days or training days. i personally hve had alot of success on rest days as i feel the carbs are not used up as energy but stored in the muscles as glycogen as the body would be carb depleted. i know some people who carb up on leg and back days but i think that would be defying the object of carbing up as those carbs woulod be used up as energy and not effeciently replenishing depleted glycogen stores. whay do you guys think?

i would say what you said is the right way mate...

ATM im resting on my refeeds so all the glycogen gets stowed away for the following week....

Remember, No thermogenics or stimulants are used on the carb load day as they decrease the amount of glucose/carbs that can be absorbed by the muscles, also there repartioning effects are not needed because the muscle has been starved of carbs for so long that they suck all the carbs up anyway...

so whats your diet plan look like ? how many grams of carbs you consuming on refeeds ?

mon-sat i have 150g carbs (split pre and pwo) 500-600g protein and 150g essential fats.
on sunday i load up on carbs 300-400g and reduce fats to around 50g. hawaiian pride posted some really great dave palumbo vids and he recommended waxy maize starch so thats what i use pre and pwo but mix in some fish oil pre workout to slow it down.

no not bulking, trying to get bf as low as possible while maintaing maybe even adding lean mass. ive tried the keto and it causes me to get way too flat and weak, i find this way really effective. 150g cabs may seem high (bear in mind that the carbs are split pre and pwo in the form of waxy starch maize) for a cut but dorian yates never went under 200g carbs when cutting, and branch warren also said that the keto caused him to get too flat so i dont think its suited to everyone.

I'd say off days. I think they'd be most beneficial though on off days that follow a huge workout - i.e. leg day for instance.
