    why no hcg in pct

    im on trt and my doc tells me get off every few months and take hcg during pct. but reading here it is not recommended, why is that????

    Your doc is telling you to do this to stimulate the testes once in a while so that they dont become completely desensitized to LH (hCG basically is LH, as it is structurally identical to it in most aspects).

    The problem with using hCG after a cycle (for those of us who have properly functioning testes) is that BECAUSE hCG is basically an analogue of LH, hCG causes suppression of LH. This is not good, especially during a time in which you are trying to get your OWN body's endogenous LH production back up to proper levels. It is counterproductive to use hCG during PCT for this reason.

    However, hCG has it's use DURING a cycle for the same reason your doc is telling you to use it. But it is not ideal for PCT.
