My weight and my diet has been a constant topic of discussion with my doctor. He is aware of my cycling and the diets i stick to.
My last visit he suggested it was time to get tested for lactose and fructose intolerance.
He explained that, due to the whey/casein protein shakes i am drinking, containing milk protein, all of the following whole meals i eat throughout the day aren't being absorbed by my body properly because it is still trying to break down the milk protein from the shakes. He explained that slight gas and the occasional diareah i was experiencing could be, being caused by lactose intolerance.
The thing is, i was looking hard, lean, great muscle definition the whole time i was on this diet - i mean it was working. The only thing that concerned me was i was not gaining weight. But then again, with such a clean diet, any weight gain is going to be slow, because it is going to be muscle right? The other reason for slow weight gain i figured, could just be that after previous cycles it's going to be very difficult for me to gain naturally - no matter how on point my diet is.
I guess my question is, has anybody ever heard of anything like this? Or heard of Whey proteins, or any other proteins for that matter, altering the bugs in your stomach that are responsible for breaking down food? What do you guys think, because i'm jumping on cycle again very soon and need to get on top of this shit.
