As you can see from the pictures, i have a lot of fat to lose. I started my diet on july 1 and the last day will be oct 31 which is about 17.5 weeks. My current goal is to be pretty cut up for halloween. My usual goal is to look like jay cutler.
These are a few questions i would appreciate clarification on. I just watched dave's seminar and i must not have grasped everything. Some of the others are just things i have been wondering awhile.
1. I do 45 min of cardio in morning and 45 after i lift. I usually drink 20gms proteing worth of vpx snythesize (1/2 before and 1/2 after), is that a good idea? you shouldn't eat anything before your am cardio or your pwo cardio. Eat your breakfast (4-5 whole eggs) post-am-cardio and take your normal pwo isolate post-cardio after you lift (45-60 minutes after your last set is fine). Keep your cardio at 65% of max hr on keto. Low n' slow but long.
2. What should i eat after i lift if my goal is to lose fat and retain muscle? Since i need to be ketogenic wouldn't quick carbs after i lift replenish my glycogen thus negating the purpose of the whole diet. Are two cans of tuna fish and vpx's synthesize enough (20gms prot from synth)? Is low-carb cell tech ok (9 gms of carbs)? you seem to have so much to learn it's ridiculous. I'll post a sample keto diet below. Pwo you want whey isolate and a fat source, obviously no carbs lmao.
3. Should i be eating fat with every meal other than post workout? even pwo. Yes. 50% of cals should be from fat. Oils, natural peanut butter, etc. Don't eat bacon and cheese and shit, only healthy fat.
4. What would you estimate my bf% to be? I plan on joining the air force and need to be under 17% the whole time. i'll look again in a sec.
5. When would the best day for my cheat meal be? I usually lift mon-fri and take weekend off. Should i have my carb laden cheat meal on sunday or on back and leg day? Should the carb meal be devoid of fats? when doing palumbo keto, i do a late workout on sunday night (whatever muscle group it falls on, doesnt matter) and then i load 20g creatine with 140g carbs via basmati rice, wheat pasta, oats, kashi cereal, hummus with lentil chips (nothing sugary or dirty cuz i'm afraid of over-doing it) and a ton of lean protein - no fat at all since i don't want my total cals to be way over.
i uploaded these pics so you can get an idea of where i am at. First 4 pics are from fist day of diet and others in next post are from yesterday. I appreciate any (good) advice as #1 and #4 have been on my mind awhile.
