Question starting wk 7, and just got appendicitis

Hey guys, I'm starting on week 7 of a testE/Eq. cycle (my first) and I just got appendicitis and cannot workout for 3 weeks. should I continue to eat clean and keep the cyc. going then start my workouts again in 3 weeks?

Or, should I go ahead and stop cyc.

ok, looks like i'm stopping and starting PCT...

Since I am starting PCT early, what do you recommed for my PCT?

and should I start ASAP...OR in 2-3 weeks?

PCT would start two weeks after your last injection.

    What's your planned pct?

FYI, you are the third person I've seen post here with this same problem. One is a fluke, two a coincidence, but three, statistically, is the beginning of a trend. Do steroids cause appendicitis? More research is definitely needed, but it's an interesting possibility.

Sweet... Another health risk to worry about when using AAS.

Oh yeah totally... 3 people out of 100,000+ members get appendicitis and its an epidemic!! Holy crap everyone stop your steroid usage now! You've got a... wait... <0.003% chance of getting appendicitis this year?

    Aaaaannnyway....

Just doing a very quick google search I found that around 6% of americans and europeans suffer from appendicitis. Since you've seen three people on the board complain of this this year we'll break that 6% down by 80 (approximate average life span) which means every person has a .075% chance of developing appendicitis every year they are alive.

So the conclusion I draw from this is, since only 3 members of more than 100,000 have complained about appendicitis this year steroids prevents appendicitis! Mmm, I think I'll go have an extra dose of my preventative appendicitis medication right now, just to be safe.

Or we could just not draw any conclusions because of lack of data and move on to the next thread which I'll be doing right now...

3 reports out of 120,000 members??

    I don't know. I hated statistics.

Statistically, 3 out of 120,000 are called outliers, those items outside 3 standard deviations and they are usually tossed.

Your initial conclusions are mathematically sound, but my feeling is that the data set is incomplete. I saw three posts about this casually glancing over this forum. I did not search archives, etc. I simply find it interesting that it came up three times in a very short window of time. This is why I said more research would be needed.

For one we don't really know what the appendix is used for or how it functions. I agree with the TKO. We don't know what effects it might have for causing appendicitis. I wouldn't rule it out. It may just be a coincidence, but it is very odd that 3 people had it this short of time.

BTW I'm one of the 3. And IronChef, I would def begin pct. You more than likely won't be doing any heavy lifting for a while. I still have pain and Its been 5 weeks now. I probly got back in the gym to soon, so learn from my mistake and give it time to heal.

Guys.....c'mon....really.....i have had sooooo many firends have it growing up and even later in life that have never touched the stuff.

I would have to completely disagree here. Do the math as was done above.
It is soooooo common for people to get it that do not use steroids.

This is kinda a no brainer......where's my next shot.

But i do like the debate.
