I was just going to post this. This is truly truly tragic. I have watched many races from the exact same rock pile. Offroad racing is as close to a brotherhood as you can get and to hear of this deeply saddens me. I cant imagine how the families/driver feel. May they rest in peace.
yeah i was watching this on the news before work. the whole story is a total bummer and i feel horrible for the people who were killed and their families. but if the spectators are going to stand on the track with 400+ hp trucks racing 100mph in the dirt one has got to understand the danger in that.
i don't think the fact that spectators were throwing rocks at the driver and forced him to flee for his life made the situation any better. i hope the driver pulls through because that is going to be a tough load to handle for the rest of his life.
