Immediately after workout I will use:

    5 grams Argnine
    6 grams Leucine
    3 grams Iso-leucine
    3 grams valine

20 min later on way home from gym I will have my WPI 45g with WMS.

Upon getting home I will have my 10 grams glutamine.

Then shower and then I will have my post workout meal which is usually Chicken breast and sweet potato (mashed, baked, made into fries, whatever I feel like doing that day)

This is what I've been doing lately, except the Aminos are sipped throughout the workout and PWO cardio, and I take the shake as soon as I step off the stairmaster.

I used to have 1/2 cup oats in the PWO shake but have been following it so closely with a whole food meal lately (right after shower) - that I see no point anymore.

    BCAA's though workout.

    EAA's during PWO cardio.

Immediately after PWO cardio shake: 2 x scoops protein, 45g chia seeds (45g pro / 15g fats)

An hour after my shake I consume a meal of chicken, broccoli & macadamia nut oil.

Is a post workout shake necessary? I've always just had a scoop or 2 of whey. The gym is right next to the student union for me where I can buy a rotisserie chicken + mashed potatoes for cheap so I was thinking of just eating that post workout. Protein too slow to absorb though?

Yes, the point of the whey shake is the fast protein absorption after a grueling workout. During this time, your body's protein uptake is heightened, as well as protein synthesis. So the idea is to get that process started immediately after working out.

Ideally, you'd be consuming a PPWO meal 1/2 - 1 hour later - THAT could be your rotisserie chicken (no mashed potatoes!) and a sweet potato, brown rice, etc.

If you care at all about bodyfat, then absolutely not! The white potato is fine, but I would most definitely not be mixing it with butter, milk, cream, etc.

It all comes down to how clean you want to eat and how much of a concern bodyfat is. I'd rather bulk as clean as possible and then have to deal with as little bodyfat as possible when i'm through.

    Alright thanks.

I'm on a college meal plan which is a blessing at times but also a curse. On one hand I can eat any time I want as much as I want in the dining halls, but the options for food aren't that great. Sometimes the only way I can get protein is eating a couple hamburgers (no bun or ketchup).

I was trying to put together a list of my diet for critique on here but it's so different every day as I'm at the mercy of the cooks and I never know what he macros are.

Here's what I had so far today though again, no macros so I know it's not all that helpful.

    7:30
    1/2 cup oats
2 servings scrambled eggs (25g protein worth) - I know I should try to find egg whites but they are not available

10:00 (still on breakfast menu so not many options)
    2 servings scrambled eggs
    potatoes

    12:30
    2 hamburgers (no bun)
some thai chicken dish (just ate the chicken not other crap in it)
    broccoli

Just finished my workout and had 1 scoop whey. I'm stocking up on tuna in my fridge for when I'll need to eat in class.

I was looking for some casein protein to bring but it was expensive as **** at the local GNC, might try to get some online. When I can I'll eat chicken and brown rice but the halls here serve eggplant parmesean and tacos all day long

why no simple carbs (dex and/or malto) with creatine for you?
