Red face Need help getting into shape

Hey everybody my name is aj, i am 20 yrs old 5'10 260 lbs. i am mainly a ball of fat now but used to be in ok shape when i was in high school. i am really motivated on losing weight and building muscle and maybe some day trying to become an all out body builder but i have no clue where to start or how to start. i have a new gym membership and some supplements like creatine and protien that my friend gave me. i would really like to hear some suggestions on a work out routine from anybody who would be willing to take the time to help me...thanks.

    Welcome.

Diet is number 1. What you put into your body, will determine what you look like on the outside. I can't stress that enough...

With that being said, you should start out by creating a diet suited to fit your goals. The nutrition section is full of knowledgeable members willing to help you in this regard. But first begin to read and research the stickies available there, they will give you a heads start..

As far as training goes, stick to a conventional split. Something simple will get you a long way in conjunction with the right diet.

    D1 Chest/Calves
    D2 Back/Core
    D3 Off/HIIT cardio
    D4 Quads/Hams
    D5 Biceps/Triceps/Core
    OFF/HIIT
    OFF/HIIT

Train each muscle group once per week, allowing each muscle to properly recovery before training again. Utilize HIIT cardio as a method to increase your loss of body fat.

Stick to the basics in terms of supplements. Whey isolate, multi-vitamins, pre-workout boost (optional), free form BCAA's, fish/flax oils, vitamin c, ect. I would avoid creatine simply because it's noted for excessive bloat. Perhaps Kre-Akl would be a better replacement.
