    boxing and weight lifting

Hi, i was just wondering while weight lifting what days could i use the punchbag, I currently train arms on a Saturday and back on a tue with some bicep workout, I was wondering with this being a effective arm exercise would it effect the repair and growth of the muscle if I done boxing aswell?

dont take my advice, I have no experience with boxing but thinking about it I would think it would be good to do boxing even after workouts, seems like it would train the muscle to pump out more when it is depleted. Like you would need in a fight,..

But thats just me brainstorming like I said..

What I wanna know is how all the boxers are so huge and able to do 3 miles a day (movie knowledge lol, dont know if it is a fact)

    Thanks for your reply,
I see what you mean about pushing the muscle harder after it is depleted that's quite a interesting one,
I would really appriciate anybody with boxing knowledge to help me on this,
I agree I don't understand how they have so low %bf and still say big and lean even with all there training, they must be on a lot of calories a day to maintaine,

i dont see why you cant do sessions of boxing after weight session.
is a cardio workout after all

i say go for it. just make sure you get your protien carbs after your session is done.

Are you talking boxing or punching a bag? they are totally different.

I have trained with some pros and sparring is a whole workout. High intensity with 1 minute breaks. hitting a bag you can go at your own pace.

X2. Boxing would be a GREAT cardio workout... and a fun one! You'd never even know you were doing cardio! Damn, I gotta get into boxing now! =)

a proper boxing session is hard work, i muay thia kickbox and mma and i only do them on days i'm not lifting (mondays and wednesday/friday). i know a few of the guys i train with lift before the session but for me i wouldn't feel my kicks or blows would be as strong.
