    Steroids and running?

Would running a cycle, ands instead of lifting you ran or did agility drills, would the increase in speed or agility be as great as the increases it gives for lifting?

Or would it just increase muscular growth in legs that'll make you faster?

Although given your experience and age there is possible methods that can be used with AAS that can increase running ability, you would need to be focusing on red blood cell increase and slightly raised test for maximum performance.

As long as you don't pack on radical mass, then yes perhaps it could increase your speed. Olympic runners utilize AAS for this reason, among many other professional athletes. That's why their called "performing enhancement drugs".

AAS increase hemoglobin. This means greater endurance during aerobic exercises such as long distance running.

If you sprint, which is considered anaerobic exercise, it will increase the strength, speed and force of your muscular contractions making you quicker.

So yes, they can be used for that. It depends on your goals though. Pack on a ton of muscle mass, and don't expect to be able to jog long distances.

    Amazing answers, thanks.
I was just confused about football players, thinking lots of mass but making you slow, isn't a great football player, but big and fast makes you a great one. Now I understand why they use.

    Thanks again.

I train MMA athletes. This is a sport that requires endurance and speed. The AAS increases the muscular strength to increase power movements. Power, being defined as how quickly you can exert all of your strength/force. The faster you can deliver a punch full force the more power you're going to generate and more energy you'll transfer to your opponent. I've seen my athlete's performance increase while on Anavar, Test, and other AAS compounds. It's not a dramatic increase in performance, these guys are already top athletes, but it's enough to be noticeable.

thing you have to think about is trying to run with your calfs pumped. It hurts! One of my friends is a runner and cyclist or however you spell that but he stays on a low dose of test and will go off and on low doses of var and eq.

Not true, I can tell you without question my speed increased running. I was training at a boxing gym and started smoking everyone in sprints and I am a big dude was about 245 at the time and there was some fast kids. I have also noticed similar effects with agility and lateral movements on skates too. There is no question in my mind that steroids enhance much mroe than simple strength and muscle size.

i think it depends on what you're on. i was on deca and test 400 and was training for a urbanathalon (wasn't on cycle for the competition, just happened to be on when i decided to participate... sucked cus i lost most of my gains) and was short winded on cycle. sust made me a little out of breath too... keep in mind i run consistant 18-19min 5k's which is pretty quick (average of 6min mile) and i couldn't touch under 7min on one mile on cycle. that is the only experience i've had, i never monitored my sprinting on and off so i couldn't help you there, but i'm sure it would be affected as well.
