    feeling dizzy during legs

To start off my diet is spot on as far a carb and protien intake. My diet is built for endurance (tons of carbs). I usually work muscle group then swim and run. I usually dont lift heavy on leg days because I run so much. But I did lift heavy today. My question is why was I feeling dizzy during and especially after my leg workout. Also I didn't run or swim today so I didn't burn too many calories. I drank a gallon and a half of water yesterday. Is it maybe my breathing? I did feel extremly out of breath after every set. My spplement intake has not changed. The only thing that has changed is the weight that I used. The reason that I'm concerned is because I usually do so much more during the day as far as my workouts go yet I feel like shit right now. Like I need a nap lol. If it is breathing can you guys give tips on breathing techniques. I inhale first and exhale on the push of every workout.

without knowing anything i'd say your breathing. every now and then i'll get that queasy feeling after pounding out some heavy squats (sometimes even get it after doing power cleans). could be a slight drop in blood sugar as well. i just fight through it.

what time of the day did you lift ? how many meals did you have before ? what supplements did you take before lifting ?

Heavy leg training is brutal, especially high rep squats. You are not used to hard leg training so it will especially taxing on you. It sounds like you are breathing properly, it's just part of the game that you will be exhausted after killing your legs. I am always winded after a very hard set of squats or other compound leg movement. I consider myself to be in good cardiovascular condition too. I wouldn't worry about it, you will feel better tomorrow.

yeah thats what I figured. I had two meals before lifting. two peanut butter sandwitches on whole weat with unsweatened yogurt for breakfast and then 2 chicken breast with 1 cup of brown rice with 2 cups of mixed vegetables. So I ate enough and the supplements I take in the morning. is vitamin E creatine, glutamine, branch chain amino acids, fish oil, ECA stack, Jack3d. I'm thinking now from everybody's input that I just wasn't expecting the intensity of the training. Intense in a different way then I'm used to. Thanks guys I just wanted to make sure I was breathing right so I could avoid the dizziness. But if it is unavoidable then what evs I can deal. thanks again

Heart rate through the roof, then resting makes you dizzy. Couple that with holding your breath for even a second and you are on your way to passing out.
