Swollen Injection Site. Possibilities?

Ive read through some of the posts on this but sense every case can be different heres my deal.

Injected 1cc test E into my right delt today. Steralized everything, aspirated and all. I did feel a bit more pain going in and figured I passed through a vain. There is a chance I injected the oil too quickly but I slowly withdrew the needle with a very very small amount of oil leak, like a tiny drop with a single drop or two of blood ( This only happens in my right shoulder now ).

Ive had a bit more pain then usual throughout the day but ive learned to deal with a bit of muscle soreness so I thought nothing of it until I ran my fingers over my shoulder and notice a quarter/silver dollar size lump. Its not hot to the touch and it is not red. Furthermore, I beleive the lump is located at the injection location and downward not in a circle around the injection site.


Whats the verdict? I tear up a vein or something? Possibly had some oil left from my last right delt shot ( last monday )? I dont beleive its an infection due to the lack of itching/redness. Should I ice/heat or just give it the night to see if it goes down.

Edit - using 25 gauge 1 inch.

One more thing. I noticed throughout the day I had a bit of pain/ache through my right trap/neck, nothing crippling but noticable. Perhaps I nicked a nerve upon injection? I know I injected in the proper spot on my delt, Id post up a pic but I cant find my digi.

Hmm it could have been a nerve, did you notice your delt twitch when pushing the pin in or taking it out?

As for the lump it could possibly be that you injected into fat instead of muscle, which i dont think is likely in the delt. but anythings a possibility

I wouldnt be to worried if its not hot, red or to sore. sometimes the muscle can be very agitated more than others. Keep an eye on it and let us know

i ve never experienced that i do get numb on injection site afterwards or it feels like its bruised up

No noticable twitching during injection.

The injection site is all good this morning. Lump is almost completely gone, hope it doesnt give me crap during Chest today.

I had a similar issue with my right delt. I developed a quarter size knot a couple days after injecting. It stayed around for a week. I bought a heating pad and used it a couple nights and it went away.

Soreness is to be expected with virgin muscles. My first quad shot sucked.
