    Site Makeover? UGH!!!

    Not to take away any of the hard work you guys put into this site, because it's the best BBing site out there IMO. But this new makeover... I hate it! It's slow and choppy as hell! Are there still kinks being worked out, or is this it?

    I guess I just don't like change...

    Its the new upgrade from vBulletin, most boards are similar to this lay out. It does appear to be slow and i'm sure they are working on that issue.

    I'm sure we all will get use to it very soon

    Yeah I'm not feeling it at all. It's running smooth for me but it's hard to navigate on my phone. I guess I'll have to get used to it.

    Nevermind, for some odd reason I opened up a thread and the posts stopped at Sept 14th. Made this post, went back and clicked on the thread again and all the posts were there.

    Lets give it a few days to work the issues out... change is tough at best for all of us... and yes it does appear slower and choppy even to myself... but once the bugs are worked out it will be great!

    Im not a fan yet but will adjust soon enough I guess. I find it harder to focus on things compared to the old format. I think it may just be the contrast of the text vs. the background.

    I think it was just fine before but like anyhting else i suppose change is good, to a certain extent....
    I will be sticking to the site nevertheless because it is still full of useful info just slow useful info....

    there are obvious problems but it is worth it. its the upgraded version and we were overdue for it. if anyone has any problems just post it here and we will all do whatever possible to help.

    It not slow for me but I dont like it either. No way to jump back to the main thread/forum from the bottom easily like before. I cant see any of my old post and the look is just not user friendly.

    Ive given it a couple days I still dont like it.

    100% agree....it is not user friendly. In any forum it is strange looking. It is a lot easier to see with the "spreadsheet" look with the lines so every subject and who just commented is boxed.

    Slow and choppy. I'm sure that can be fixed. One thing I'm wondering is can you somehow set the layout contrast to darker? everytime I come onto the site I have to change my contrast settings on my computer manually... otherwise it's like looking into a light bulb. it's like hard on the eyes almost, lol.

    As for Big... he sent a message via G4R about a month ago stating he was having personal issues and would not be back for a while... also just a heads up... Big was a trusted member and monitor here nothing more (taking nothing from him he gave great advice)... he was not tech support... he was not admin... he had no special powers... just a monitor and when he needed things done for others that sent him requests he went through the same channels as anyone else did which was to ask/pm admin... or post in the report section for a response or to have something done... I believe he has some issues (personal... family... health) that may take him a long time to handle so not sure if and or when he would return... he is missed by all...

    So sorry to hear this about Big....I hope his situation improves....and I bet many who have known him here for a long time feel the same way...

    And thanks for clarifying what a monitor is too....I had no idea as to the differences among all you TOP guys....
