Deca & donating blood

my rbc count is a little high so my doc said i should donate 2x a year

what he doesn't know is i added deca right after the blood draw - so i don't know how this is looked on with donating blood


rest of the blood work was great ldl a little high
test right at 1080

That's strange. My Dr. says it's not ethical for someone on HRT to be donating blood? He said that he arranges Phlebotomy for his patients that require it.

Put 50 doctors through an interview on anything regarding HRT and you'll pretty much get 50 different responses and opinions. Red Cross will ask if you have taken steroids "illegally" without doctor supervision. I tell them that my doctor prescribes mine ... End of discussion. They take my blood. What's not ethical is the continuous bogus information these docs give us with their superiority complexes.

he clealer thinks that anyone that can donate blood should donate.

My doctor wrote a prescription for me to give Red Cross as my RBC's get way high on test. I donate once every 2 months, should do more often but seems like it stops gains for a while after I donate. But my blood pressure goes down, no more headaches and I get incredible pumps for a few weeks afterwords.

Yea, I just gave last week. I feel great after giving, lightheaded, but great! I'll be running my BW this coming week, hoping to see some improved stats on my end, including a lower ferritin score.

ds53, just curious, does your Red Cross center require a script from the doc? I just show up and they go to town. I actually have 2 places to go give (Red Cross & Life Extension), so that I can just go every 3 to 4 weeks if I choose.
