Whats your thoughts on AAS being adictive?

With the improved sense of wellbeing, the strength, sex drive, size, and any other benefits you get from AAS do you think that AAS is addictive and If so how addictive you feel they are?

isnt that the same reason why the crackhead cant put down the pipe?

they would be just as addictive as any other drug. bar heroin etc etc. which are known to be very chemically addictive

You might find this of interest, especially the first study (see the part I bolded in the OP):

It CAN be. So can work as in workaholic. I'm too new to them to say If I am or will become addicted (actually I have a set physique goal that shouldn't take me too many cycles to achieve so I think i will just do some maintenance after that with HGH or similar. I do love them though!

    They aren't addictive at all.
Some guys just can't stand to come off because they judge their self-worth solely on their physical appearance, or they just don't know how to cycle and do PCT properly.
BTW, being androgen deficient does not equate to withdrawal symptoms. The 2 should not be confused (in reference to Reed's last statement about TRT). When you come off and have no natural test, you feel shitty because you have no test in your system, not because your body is craving synthetic testosterone or test analogues.

Certainly the change in mood, wellbeing, libido, etc would class steroids as having the ability to cause psychological dependence.

While most medical experts would state that anabolic steroids are not physically addictive. In many cases I would have to disagree. The earmarks of a physically addictive substance are the body’s adaptation causing one to have to take larger doses (tolerance) to get the same effect, as well as a change in physiology upon cessation of the substance.

While if you use a small dosage of test you may never have to increase you dosage to get the desired effect so this is why most in the medical world take the no physical addiction position, however many people who use steroids use them to increase the bodies level far above that normally found, in these cases users often take larger dosages over time to get the same effect, so in these cases the first requirement for physical addiction has been met. Now as far as the second, removal of the drug causing changes to the body chemistry I don't think that anyone familiar with steroids would argue that.

However a quick note on physical addiction, most place way to much emphasis on physical addiction, what I mean by that is that your average heroin addict or doctor says the heroin addict can't stop becuase he would get sick. I say that the physical withdrawal (comparable to a bad flu for a week) while no joke is certainly not the reason a heroin addict keeps using. Let’s say you had a problem that caused you to lose all your money every day, made you unemployable, and caused a variety of physical problems and a doctor came and said that he had a pill you could take that would end your problem but you would be sick for a week...do you really think that anyone would say no I can't stand a week in bed with the flu, I think I will just continue to be broke and worthless....not that this is a completely valid analogy but I think it points to the fact that its the psycholigcal effects of withdrawal not the physical that cause continued use of whatever substance is causing the problem.

s definitly addictive mentaly, big time. Alot of times its the depression and feeling like crap after you come off that makes people go right back on.

Def the most addictive drugs I have ever done. There is no better feeling than a good cycle, as stated earlier the sense of well being, the size, the strength, and for me during a cycle I feel very little stress from work. Don't know why, but my stress levels always seem to go down when I cycle.

Myself I don't know a damn thing about coming off and its affect on myself since this is my first cycle, however I would like to say thanks to reading this board over and over again and asking lots of questions etc. I have been able to add two things to my plan that will hopefully prove very beneficial to coming off cycle. One was deciding that I absolutely did not want to stay on my tren longer than 30 days (when I started I had no idea about specific cycle length all I knew is I did not want to stay on too long) so I now have a firm cut off date of Monday for the tren and will continue the test for another 5 days to allow all the tren to clear. Since joining the board and learning just a little I have started an AI to control aromatization on cycle and after I come off I also have ancillaries on hand for my PCT.

While I certainly know very little about cycles, AI's and using ancillaries for PCT, I am in a much better position than the guy who just starts taking some juice at the gym with no set timeframe/stop date or PCT plan, I am sure without this information in hand the potential for continued usage is much greater.

A BIG THANKS, to all at steroids.com particularly those who have written articles on AI and PCT as well as those mods and vets who have responded to my annoying questions these past few weeks.
