    Arnold's workout routine?

    Hey all,

Came across an interesting link that claims to have Arnold's bodybuilding routine, or at least a variation of it as i understand he didnt record or follow a programmed routine... In any case... aside from the fact that he didnt have a job to go to and could spend hours in the gym... am i doing the math right here? my calculations indicate that according to this chart, he was in the gym pumping iron 3.5 hours a day, not including any cardio if any.

Take a look at the link... i am dedicating my entire evening to my bodybuilding pursuits but i dont want to be building a workout routine on faulty information...

He noted he works out for 3-5 hours per day in Pumping Iron. And hardly any of those guys back then did rigorous cardio like you see many of the IFBB's do today.

Yes good point... Ohh if i had 3-5 hours a day, i'd totally hit that up. Ok question big ron and Hawaiian... seeing as you both have taken an interest in my other thread... what are your current workout routines like? how long do you workout for and what are your current goals for that routine (bulking, shreding, maintaining)?

I'm back to a conventional split. Volume isn't too high, mainly focusing on hypertrophy and compounds with accessory work to compliment them.

you need to have crazy genetics to get that to work for you.. you are using biceps and triceps when you do back or chest exercises.. so essentially he is doing arms 6x a week.. it is all in how fast you can recover.. but something tells me this was his workout towards the end of his career not the very begining.. it takes years of training to get to the point where you can recover that fast and train that hard for that long every day

Damn he's a beast...I saw the run in Muscle & Fitness where they claimed to have his workout. It looked similar but was not exactly spot on...

In his book he outlines a workout. Not sure if it's "HIS" workout...but it's in his book. Be careful though...it might be the wrong advices.
