I have been wondering is my prescription sleep aid catabolic?
If so is it more catabolic than 4 hours sleep vs 9-11 hours of sleep.
I only take it about once a week.
I love sleep.

What is your medication?
It shouldn't make a difference.. It will only make a difference in whether you're hitting true REM sleep (which a lot of downers prevent) - but I believe you're talking about muscle growth during sleep - which as long as you're resting physically will still occur (as long as there is still protein available)..
Try taking some cassein before bed, a very slow digesting protein powder, to make sure that you stay anabolic for as long as possible.
Cottage cheese is always a good and cheap snack to eat before bed and its full of cassein.
I take ambien (can i say that?) directed towards big ron
