    Reheating gear

If you are unsure about the quality of your ugl gear, can rehating it for 120celcsius for about 2 hours sterelize it?

120C seems quite a bit extreme. Any living organism in your gear should be killed at 180F for about 5 minutes

or is it better to buy a filter and filter it into a new sterilized vial? 180f, thats about 82 celcius!

Back when I had to resort to this, I used 215F for 45 minutes. Worked like a charm.

What you have in mind is overkill just for sterilization.

Ok, so 100 celcsius for 45 min? Does the glass break og the rubber seal take any damage? Should I leave a needle in for venting purposes? Or is filtering, like I asked previous a better option?

It won't explode if you have a vent. I used an 18g needle to vent. Rubber seal was fine.

But, will some of the gear vaporise during the process? And how about the filtering?

You can filter if you want. I've never tried it.

    Your gear will be fine.

Is there a specific reason as to why you need to re-sterilize?
