Inflamed hair folicls after shaving. Please help

i have very curly hair and my pores seem to be very sensitive.

i cant shave with a razor and shaving cream because there is too much trama to the pores and folicls.

if i use a electric razor i can shave so my skin is smooth only to get razor burn and what my dermatoligist calls enflamed hair folicls.

just wondering what you guys can recommend for treatment of this.

directly after shaving and with in the days to come. should i scrub really hard for a couple days after??? keep shaving every other day???

Anything to put on the pores after you shave to help them not get irritated ?
And what's the best procedure for taking care of the ones that turn into ingrowns?

Ok I had this problem too, I went from just keeping my pubes under control too shaving them every single day so it got me pretty bad lol I continued this for about 6 months and now do it about once a week because i dont care as much just when im going home to see my gf. But I got this stuff called shave secret it like lubes your skin up and keeps it from getting irritated and then I would just use Swagger bodywash and soap it up real good then either use a normal razor make sure its sharp or use one of the womens like venus razors i think is what its called. Just make smooth strokes and dont press too hard. \

After your done rinse off of course and i cant remember what I used to do, but now I wait for a little while after like if I shower in the evening then I'll go out and try not to touch the area you shaved alot and stuff but then when i got back I'd put vaseline all over the area just rub it in real good and it basically makes everything better lol. It will keep you from getting bumps and help the ones there get better alot faster. Just put it on once or twice a day it will work good

yea they eventually stop coming in so bad. If you get ingrown hairs bad on your stomach shave across or down not up and you will notice a big difference

    1. I'd use nair for men. It doesn't hurt me, and I do have somewhat sensitive skin.

    2. If you do shave, do it after a hot shower. This softens up the hair and skin, and makes the shaving process easier.

    3. Apply moisturizer after your shower, and after you shave. This will prevent your skin from drying out, since after shaving or nair you just exfoliated/chemically peeled the good oil/dead skin off.
    4. If none of this works, use a beard trimmer. You'll get fairly close, without the pain of shaving.

I think you should try a single blade razor, i would recommend a gillette adjustable safety razor and some derby double edge razor blades, u could find this on ebay fairly cheep. Always exfoliate before shaving and i would also recomed buying an inexpensive badger brush (i got my for like $23) this will help ur pores. For post shave use a alcohol based after shave fallowed by a good moisturizer. Using a single blade will reduce the amount of ingrowns.
    Good luck!!
